Catwoman Smooth Costume by Pencilbags Catwoman Smooth Costume by Pencilbags
I think that this costume is traditional more purple, but I wanted to make her black on a black background. I had originally intended to do another marker rendering, but decided to go digital this time, so she comes from a pencil sketch that was then inked and scanned until finally rendered in photoshop.

i also grabbed a skyline image to frame the background for this one too.

The softness, the glow, the fuzzy Retro cityscape, and her naughty-but-innocent expression, all of it adds up to a lovingly rendered Selina. Marvelous, Mike! Amazing that a few well-placed "hot spots" can equate sheer sexiness (but not over-the-top)!

Thanks Roger, I really was hoping for a matte black image, but it was too much and the hot spots helped with the dimension of the piece. I like the face too, but I really need to start focusing on the subtle shadows that can give faces more depth, not just the lines of the features. Overall I like how the illustration came out, but it seems that I have more to focus on for the next one! Ha! I had a writing professor in college who was a poet and he commented that someone asked him which one of his poems was his favorite and his response was the next one that he was working on. At the time I understood it to mean one thing, and now I see that he really meant that it was an opportunity to apply the things he learned from writing the previous. All that is pretty deep for a Tuesday morning, I guess I need to get another cup of coffee!

I also like to interpret that as the excitement and thrill of The New. For me, the latest drawing is done, but the next one will be that unfolding surprise, as it starts to come together the more I move the pen across the paper. Perhaps, for me, it's about that thrill of discovery, and only proves that I am not a very apt pupil, when it comes to "lessons learned," and I know that I would benefit greatly if I did so (D'OH!).

C'est un de mes costumes préféré de Catwoman, mon préféré étant celui d'Arkham City (beaucoup plus sexy).
Très beau dessin, la combi est bien moulante et épouse ses formes à merveilles.
Je met un "LOVE".
